We store the future.

Development, construction and operation from one team.

Why storage

The backbone of the energy transition

Large-scale battery storage makes renewable energy dependable. Three reasons why it is indispensable.

Maximum generation flexibility

Battery storage absorbs surplus renewable energy when demand is low and makes it available when it is needed. Local energy production is used optimally, grid bottlenecks are reduced and supply is secured for the long term.

Effective price smoothing

As renewables expand, price volatility on the electricity market increases. Storage enables intelligent control: store energy when it is cheap, release it when prices peak. That creates a stable cost structure and protects against price spikes.

Stable grids, secure supply

Unpredictable fluctuations in the grid can cause blackouts or power dips. Battery storage reacts within milliseconds and reliably balances fluctuations. That keeps the power supply secure and stable, even in times of crisis.

What storage delivers

How a battery keeps the grid in balance

Generation from sun and wind rarely runs in step with demand. A battery storage system evens this out: it shifts energy from hours of surplus into hours of need. That stabilises the grid and generates predictable revenue at the same time.

  1. 1

    Absorb the surplus

Around midday, solar and wind often produce more power than the grid can absorb. The battery takes in this surplus instead of letting it go to waste.

  2. 2

    Store it

The energy waits in the battery with minimal losses and is ready within milliseconds whenever the grid needs it.

  3. 3

    Feed in when needed

When demand rises in the evening, the battery feeds the energy back into the grid. That relieves power lines and replaces expensive peak-load plants.

Economically, the park sustains itself through exactly this balancing: revenue comes from the price difference between surplus and demand hours, and from balancing services that keep the grid stable second by second.

Why Southside

With us, projects get built: safe, complete, reliable.

Three reasons why a project becomes reality with Southside Battery.

Everything from a single source

From securing the site through planning and permitting to turnkey handover: one continuous chain of responsibility, one point of contact. No interface risk.

A team that delivers

Our experts have taken battery storage projects from first sketch to commissioning. Experience you don't buy. You bring it with you.

Financial strength, real delivery certainty

A solid capital base and strong partners mean your project does not hinge on market or financing risk. What we commit to, we deliver.

Nikolaus von Bismarck
We don't just build storage. We lay the foundation for an energy future that is independent, resilient and economical.
Nikolaus von Bismarck · Managing Director
  1. 01 · Site suitability: We identify the site, assess grid access and building rights, and secure the land with a lease agreement.
  2. 02 · Grid connection preparation: We handle the grid connection application through to certified approval. The ground is prepared, and a clean geometric order takes shape.
  3. 03 · Planning & permits · 04 · Financing: Environmental assessments, building law and a sound financial structure, all from one team.
  4. 05 · Construction & installation: Operating approval by grid operators and authorities. The storage facility goes online.

The park comes alive. Energy flows: stored when there is plenty, released when it is needed. That is how a battery park strengthens the grid and the region.

What we deliver

From first concept to daily operation

Our services range from project development to operation, as modules or as a complete package. Scroll through the model and watch a site become a battery park.

The people behind it

The next step

Let us check whether your land is suitable

Farmland, grassland or a conversion site close to the grid: we assess your site free of charge and without obligation. Usually the plot number and district are enough, and you will hear from us promptly.
